How to get over feeling ugly in my dress?

I just went in for a dress fitting today, and I honestly wanted to cry because I felt so ugly. The dress is beautiful, I just felt fat and very ugly, and not pretty. How do you get over those feelings? /:

Gorgeous dress. .. Gorgeous you. I have those days tooo where no matter what I feel ugly. It's not the dress. .. it's your perception honey. .. maybe some positive affirmations will help.... gotta change your perception and maybe by doing nice things for yourself you'll be nice to your image also.

I had this exact feeling!! each dress fitting, I lost the love for my dress, hated it more and more and thought I would look hideous the day of the wedding. I held out and just kept telling myself it was probably all in my head. My wedding day came and it all came together beautifully, besides your dress is beautiful! I love the waist of it, mine was similar! It's probably just nerves, being over-cautious. You will look beautiful!!

As far as your hair goes, in the picture it looks very nice, compliments the dress. I'd say down, soft curls. Also a veil and necklace will help pull it all together!

Oh my gosh, I actually just did a "WHHAAATTTT?!" out loud. You look so gorgeous!! Stunning actually!!!! You're being so very hard on yourself for no reason. The dress itself is very pretty, but it looks extra spectacular on YOU with your shape! I know its hard to just change how you feel, but trust me, you looks so fantastic Smiley smile

I felt really overwhelmed with pulling my look together, so I know where you are coming from. I have all the pieces of the overall look but most of them aren't in yet and I had to purchase them without my dress even being here yet! What helped for me was to only talk to a few people about pulling my look together. When I started getting too many opinions it made everything worse.

Your dress is very pretty. With your hair the length it is, it will look good with a strapless whether its up, down, or half and half, so go with what you feel most comfortable in! Try not to overthink it and keep it simple. If you feel like you need to add to your dress I would suggest a blingy necklace or a very thin sparkley belt to go on the seam that the bodice and skirt meet at.

I think leaving your hair down in that dress would be gorgeous. It's actually a very flattering gown on you.

You look great. def NOT fat. And for your hair their is extensions. Also you can try a style that can be modified up or down or half up, half down throughout the day. If I didn't expect my wedding to be so hot I would have chose a hair style that can be up during the ceremony (with veil) and down for the reception (without veil).
