How to get infant son down the aisle

Paige, on March 24, 2021 at 12:52 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 11
I’m getting married in August. Our son will be just shy of 6 months old at our wedding. He is going to be our “ring bearer” (we are not giving him rings, just the title lol). Does anyone have ideas for how to get him down the aisle?

Could you have someone pull him down the aisle on a wagon/car? Otherwise I would just have someone carry him.

I agree with this! A wagon would be super cute.

Yeah, I agree with a wagon of some sort. I've seen some cute pictures online.

I suppose we could have someone pull him down the aisle. Would it be weird to have an adult do it? We have several nephews & small cousins and I think it would be difficult to choose one to pull a wagon.

I also like the wagon idea! FH's brother and wife did this with their daughter when they got married, and the pics are really cute! Just make sure there's someone nearby that they're comfortable with that can soothe them if they start to cry.

I think you, your fiancé, or grandparent carrying him would be sweet (and safest). If being pulled in a wagon, I would be concerned if he would be able to remain in a sitting/upright position unsupported or if the person pulling the wagon stopped all of a sudden.

Oh I hadn’t thought about that! Maybe it would be best if I carried him and handed him off to my dad when we get to the end of the aisle

No that wouldn't be weird at all, I actually would prefer an adult because he is so young. You could put cushion and blankets around him to ensure that he is sitting up and safe!

I agree with wagon. My son will be only 2mo old. I think I will have my mom carry him then have a baby carrier sitting in the pews where she plans to sit.

Have a young family member pull him in a wagon. That’s what I’m doing and my son will be just under a year art the wedding
