Hi there!

3 out of 4 of my bridesmaids live very far away. It isn't likely I would ever be able to get them all together for a fitting or shop-- in addition to the fact that I live in an area that is not abundant in those sorts of shops.

Have you been/are any of you in the same situation? I am stumped on what to do because so few websites have the color I want. I have the option of picking dresses where I got my wedding dress and having the girls send their measurements, but I feel uncomfortable picking a one style fits all dress when some of my girls have drastically different body types. Any suggestions on what to do? Have any of you had a good experience with color matching letting your girls pick their own dresses from one site (same color and length of course?) I am so apprehensive to do it online!

I have 7 BMs and 1 MOH. One of my BMs lives in Texas, my MOH is in a nearby state, and the rest are in my state (MD). It was still hard to get everyone to come out, but we worked it out. We had two seperate days of a full day of trying on dresses. The dresses we found at shops, but didn't like the price or discount we took note of the designer and style number and looked on the internet for the actual designer's website for locations near us. I called around and tried to find the best price.

If you and the other BM of yours in the same state try on BM dresses, you can always have your girls call in and order or see if there is a shop near them that actually carries the same dress.

    Try DESSY.com , weddingtonway.com , bellabridesmaid has many locations.

You ladies can all meet in one state if that's easy and do your shopping there.

The BMs dresses were found at Nordstrom, but they don't do discounts and they don't have coupons, so I went to the designer's website and found locations. called around and got the best deal an 45 mins away from me. I even asked the designer to send me swatch colors so I can see if it's the color I wanted. I did sacrifice the exact shade of the colors I wanted, but I felt it was the best dress option to help pull our wedding look together. It's also a convertible dress...so the girls will all wear it a different style, but it's the same exact dress in the same color.

The trick to have a mix match dress so that your Bridesmaids still look cohesive and not just a guest at your wedding is choosing the same fabric and length and to get the exact color is to use the same designer.

    Hope it helps!

I emailed mine four choices and they all voted and picked one, none of them sent me their measurements, and i paid for them all at once and guess what? Only my sister paid me for her dress, and the rest of them are complaining to high heaven about alteration fees, but they didnt give me their measurements and I asked for them three or four times. ahem. Dont do what I did!
