How to do a hair trial for weave??

Future Mrs., on May 8, 2013 at 1:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Hello All,

So I am wanting to weave it up for my wedding. I don't usually wear weave, but did want to add a little length and fullness for a particular hairstyle.

So, anyway, I want to test out the style of course, but don't know really want to get the full weave yet because my wedding is 3 months out, so I want it to obviously be still new for the wedding. So what are your suggestions on how I can test it out? Maybe do clips-ins? Partial sew-ins?

Play around with different wigs with a similar style, this way you can get an idea what the weave will look like. You can experiment with style, length & textures.

Do you know what type of weave you want? You should probably test that out to make sure you like the way it looks. Have you talked to your stylist?

I'm doing clip ins. My stylist wants me to bring them to the trial so she can size them and do a full trial with them.

I've never worn clip-ins or sew-ins so I dunno what else to tell ya.

I agree with Samantha Renee depending on your hairstyle I would suggest a quick weave and then get the sewn in for your wedding. Weaves are very expensive these days and to have done costs as well so be mindful of what you want before you decide. I'm all natural and have been wearing weaves for a portion of my life as protective styles Im not planning on a hair trial because I know my stylists can work the hair I've chosen but trust me its expensive. Good Luck!!

I would do clip ins. I wear weaves all the time, and with the right hair however, (remy, brazilian, human), and when I say right hair, I mean expensive hair, you can get a sewn-in right now and it will still look fresh for your big day. You can also get a weave cap.

Thanks all for your responses! I'm seriously considering the "quick weave" route now just to test it out.

@allsmiles Yes, the expense thing is what's really getting me. I can't really afford to get a weave and take it out because I decide I don't like it, so I really do need to make sure I like what I get.

@Jamila thanks for the brand recommendations. I did have one stylist tell me that remy was a good one.
