how to delete guest book comments.

Melissa, on September 25, 2009 at 10:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

So I appreciate the vendors here that give advice. But I just had a vendor advertise on my website guestbook. I want my guestbook to be for friends and family to leave messages, not vendors to sell their products. Is there a way to delete the message, or stop this from happening again.

Has this happened to others here and is it ok for them to do?

Ok so i am a complete idiot...I just saw the delete comment link. But are vendors supposed to be doing this? I find it very rude.

As a vendor I absolutely agree that it is rude. My opinion is that I offer advice on the forum because I really want to help brides. If a bride wants to contact me because she likes my advice and I would like my services just click on my name and take it from there. I do not feel the need to add my website address beacuse I do not like to be pressured and would not do that to anyone else.

It is super rude! But don't let that discourage you! Most vendors (like Nicole here) are not so inconsiderate!

I delete it and I've sent notes to WW folks to let them know how rude that vendor has been when it's totally unrelated (e.g., Vegas caterer on my website which clearly states I'm getting married in VA)

Wow... I'm sorry. The only time I'll write on someones guestbook is to congratulate them on their engagement or welcome them to Wedding Wire... but that's it!

Hey Highlander - it's actually on your profile page. If you look at the bottom all your comments show up there. Under the comment there is a blue link that says delete message. You click it and that will delete it from your profile and your wedding website.
