How to cover this eyesore?!

*sayre_ah*, on August 13, 2018 at 9:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

It's front and center as everyone would walk down the stairs/the aisle. It's drainage for the terrace above. I know most people wouldn't care but it drives me nuts because it's front and center. The florist I think gave up on ideas - she thinks anything we do will draw more attention to it.

Thanks in advance!

I do t know if it makes sense to do anything, but if you feel like it is, maybe a banner or ask the venue to clean/paint it. If it was all the same color it would not be as noticeable. Also I dont think it needs covering. Your photographer wi make sure your photos are amazing.

You florist is correct, anything you do to try to hide it will only draw attention to it

I’d leave it. I think it adds character.

I think sum greenery going down and bouquet on the top to hide that area and tulle. I know how you feel I can be a perfectionist over certain things but people will be looking at the wedding party and the photographer can avoid showing that. You can ask the wedding venue to see what they can do. Good luck

Maybe make a few flower pieces to drape down in a cascading line that will cover it. It could go right at the edge and would cover it up

Something like this but cascading down... you could probably hang it from that wall with fishing line or something similar, or tulle

I think doing something to it will draw more attention to it. I would add nice floral to things you want guests to see and not to attempt to hide something unsightly.

Yeah I think adding decorations may look weird and draw more attention to it than you want. Can the venue pressure wash that area or paint it like PP said? So at least the paint matches the rest of the facade.

I doubt anyone will notice....but if it bothered me that bad, I'd be up there with some bleach and a scrub brush trying to get that mold off the wall. I think the dirt is what draws your eyes to that area.

I dont think anyone is going to be walking around and looking up for that, I think you'll be fine
