So, I had my 2nd hair and makeup trial a couple weeks ago. My first one was pretty bad, but partially had to do with my unkempt eyebrows, my blotchy spray tan and a bunch of other things. My second trial I thought I loved it, but looked back at pictures and I am not too fond. It might have been the bad lighting or something, but I'm not too sure. The makeup artist already knows I wasn't too pleased with the first, because that is why a second one was requested obviously...but I left again feeling good and looked back and hated it. It was a windy day and extremely cold (my wedding will be warmer and indoors), but my hair didn't stay that long and I've seen better work done on me by a Sephora consultant (no surprise). I am locked into her services though, but how do I tell her the 2nd time that I wasn't too pleased with it?
The eyeshadow was too harsh and not blended out, the hair needs to be changed again and my eyebrows looked horrible. She might be kind of shocked, because I left with no complaints and it is the 2nd trial - I don't want to look too petty. I just had a great experience at Sephora a while ago and nothing seems to compare. I even showed her the picture I took after the makeover and told her I loved what this woman did. The company has great reviews, but I am almost tempted to see if another person from their team can come do our makeup even though I would be going into it blindly. How would I do this without burning a bridge and looking like a complete mess. I don't want to pay for another trial, so should I risk it? How can I be respectful, but also serious...because this was my second trial. There isn't much else down in the area and I don't have much time (a little over a month away), they have excellent reviews so maybe I'm just overreacting. I might post pictures tonight when I am home from work...Thanks!
