We just reached out and asked for addresses. It wasn't weird. The people who we were asking knew why we were asking, mostly. It makes them excited Smiley smile

My mother keeps an updated address book and she's volunteered to hand over addresses for our family. Everyone else will be asked via call/text/facebook/email

How is that awkward? Call or text and say hey can I have your address please. People you're invited should be close to you that it shouldn't be weird and they should know why you're asking. If they ask why, simply tell them you are planning to send save the dates and would like their address for that and wedding invitations. Easy peasy

I pretty much just said: "Hey, what's your address? I have something to mail you."
