How to ask bridesmaids?

I did a wine glass, you could do a mug.
It was personalized with bride tribe on it.
Wine. again you can do tea or coffee.

I also did perfume, chapstick a hand written card and I think there was hand lotion in the boxes I mailed and gave out.

This is what I did for my girls. I filled the boxes with champagne gum (gum is an inside joke) hair ties and a hand written card. I wanted something simple as I too had girls from a great distance.

Why doesn’t anyone call and ask anymore? Is it a requirement to give a gift these days when asking?

I sent them a Yeti with their names on it and a robe with their names on it too along with a card asking "will you be my bridesmaid?"

I saw super cute water bottles and tote bags too that you can personalize. One thing I would avoid is things with their role written on them eg. Bridesmaid because those gifts mostly just get thrown out!

My bridesmaids aren’t big drinkers either so I sent them a cooking box from etsy.

I went to dollar tree and made up little tin baskets and filled them with spa type items: fingernail polish, tissues, bath salts, candle, etc.

Mine were jewelry boxes with liquor shooters, nail polish, and hair ties that said "to have and to hold your hair back".
