How to approach those who have not responded?

Sara, on August 13, 2021 at 11:17 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

My little draft is something along the lines of "Hey! We hope you've had a great summer so far! With our wedding date approaching, our caterer has requested we send our final numbers for guests plates by August 18th. We'd love to see you there, and if not, you will be missed! Please let us know if you can make it by Tuesday August 17th!"

Does this sound okay? I understand we may have some come in the next few days, but I have vendors now wanting counts and don't want to keep plucking along waiting for last minute cards to come. I figured they'll let me know if they're in the mail when I send this lol

If your RSVP date has already passed, I think that works perfect!

The deadline was today. We had not cards delivered with today's mail. Do you think I should I wait a day or start reaching out?

I think what you have is good, but a little too nice, lol! I have my message all ready so in two weeks when people haven't responded, I can just shoot out the message.

Good morning/afternoon! Our RSVP deadline was yesterday (August 29th) and we have a deadline for final headcounts and if we don't hear from by September 1st, you will be marked as not attending.

LOL I kinda felt it was a little too nice as well, so I added something similar at the end! I know most are probably declines, but they need to understand they still need to respond!

I was going to be just as blunt as Lisa, LOL! But that is good! I'd probably say August 16th so if they don't answer you have another day to reach back out. I have some people that even if you give them a deadline they won't respond by it, so I like to give myself some buffer time.
