How to address guests on envelope

Alexandra, on July 26, 2017 at 11:35 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

On the envelope, what is the formal or traditional way to address your invited guests? For example, if I invite a husband, wife, and their two kids how do I write that out on the envelope? P.S. this is for Save The Dates, the formal wedding invitation, and future thank you cards. Would it be totally lame to create "sticky" labels to put on all the envelopes instead of hand writing them out? I just don't have the best hand writing.

I used clear sticky labels and a fancy font, they came out great.

@Christine That's what we're planning to do too, but for our return address. It's so much more cost-effective.

We did the labels you could print on at home and stick on! We addressed like this

Mr. & Mrs. John Smith & Family
