How should my bridal party walk back down the aisle?

Ashley, on February 8, 2020 at 11:50 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 11
I have an uneven number of bridesmaids vs groomsmen. So I was going to have the groomsmen walk down after the groom, individually. Then have the bridesmaids walk alone too. But how should they walk back down when it’s over? Will it look good if they all walk alone back down? Idk what to do.

You could do the same thing except bridesmaids walk out first and then groomsmen

If you have more bridesmaids than you do groomsmen then having groomsmen walk 2 bridesmaids back down the aisle would look just fine! Or depending on how many of each you have you could have just 2 walk back no matter what even if they are both bridesmaids or both groomsmen they just don’t have to go arm and arm.

I’ve seen it done where they leave in individual but in rotation. Like one bridesmaids walks down then one groomsmen, one bridesmaids, one groomsmen. If you have more bridesmaids then groomsmen have them start first so the system looks uniform or visa versa.

Daughter and SIL had more men than women in their party, so one BM was escorted out by two of the men. They also considered having one of the guys escort the groom's divorced mom.

That's what I'm doing! Especially since I have junior bridesmaids (my nieces) I don't think they need to be escorted by a grown man

I was in an uneven bridal party as a bridesmaid and I had 2 groomsmen on my arms. It was fine.

You might be over thinking this. This is a detail that no one in attendance will remember. They can walk out one by one or in pairs or alternating or anything honestly. Don’t stress too much!

Just have them walk out in pairs and the last set will be a groomsman escorting two bridesmaids.
