How much would it cost for diy flowers?

Sherraine, on July 12, 2019 at 6:39 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

Im thinking about making my own flowers since i cant justify spending thousands if not more for flowers ill only have once. ( i might have my bouquet pressed after)

anyway im thinking bout DIY for

-my own bouquet

-the wedding party bouquets (4)

- the wedding party Boutonnieres (2)

- centerpieces (7)

i feel like $500 or less is the budget for flowers if not even less. i'll most likely stick to two types of flowers. is this possible to spend that much or is it inevitable to spend so much?

I definitely know it's possible to spend $500 or less! I am hoping less than $200 for my DIY bouquets. Check Trader Joe's maybe?

    -my own

    -one to toss

    -6 bridesmaids

I'm spending $307 for 4 bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet, 4 groomsmen boutonnieres, my FH's boutonniere and 10 centerpieces! Michael's and AC Moore will be your best friend and also buying bulk on amazon for fillers works great! (Mine are fake flowers however)

I spent less than $200 for 2 bouquets, 3 corsages, 4 bouts, and centerpieces/decor (they were light on flowers). I just bought bulk flowers from Costco and FiftyFlowers and some filler from Whole Foods. I could have spent a little less if I hadn't insisted on fresh lavender. So your budget is totally doable.

Also, Fiftyflowers has centerpiece packages that would be in that budget. https://www.fiftyflowers.com/flowers/wholesale-centerpieces_24221.htm?sort=low

Go to Costco.com and look at their wedding packages! Don’t have to be a member to order, and they have premade bouquets and centerpieces.

Costco.com and wholesaleflowerandsupplies.com!!!!!! Cheapest bulk flowers out there that I’ve found. I’m planning on having my bouquet done professionally but my bridesmaid bouquets we will all make together the night before! My plan is to go to Trader Joe’s and by fresh flowers a few months prior to wedding and play around with how many of each type of flower and what fillers so I can get an estimate of how many to order of each kind. To eliminate cost and waste we are doing candle centerpieces but plan on using any extra flowers from the bulk as decoration around the venue to add a little more color but nothing over the top.

We are going to go to the farmers market and do our ourselves. I’m hoping we stay under $200

I did fake ones and it was cheap because Michael's had them on sale. Sometimes at craft stores you can find already fake bouquets for cheap. With coupons
