How much to spend on bridesmaids gifts?

Lala, on September 11, 2016 at 5:42 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

What is proper etiquette on bridesmaids gifts? Right now I'm thinking around $50-75. I'm being told this is fine because I paid for their shoes, jewelry, dresses, hair. I'm worried that it might not be enough.

Right now I have cosmetic bags and makeup for each one. Was pondering getting each one a Pandora bracelet, but not sure if those are things people still wear.

It's so hard to shop for people who already have everything! FH is having the same problem with his groomsmen. Open to any and all input!

50-75 is perfect, that's what I'm spending Smiley smile you don't have to get them all the same things, I know I personally wouldn't wear a pandora bracelet but if your girls would, you can get it - just go off their personalities/likes.

Love those ideas! I'd be happy with those as a bridesmaid. When I was in friends weddings, I've gotten jewelry and make up (one did a box set of things from Lush, which was cute!)

It's not the cost of the gift that counts, it's the thought that goes into it. Just get something that you know your girls will like...some people even suggest acting like its a birthday gift.

Thanks for the tips, everyone! I know my bridesmaids are big fans of makeup. Even though they're getting their makeup done, I'll probably give them a bag of makeup essentials like their lipstick color and other fun stuff. I'd get booze, but not all of them are over 21 yet!

I was pondering this for my future SIL: http://s3.weddbook.com/t4/2/2/3/2230769/sister-in-law-present-bridesmaid-gift-customize-your-message-personalized-bracelet-by-thesilverswing.jpg

Not sure she'll wear it, but I figured the sentiment is nice.

50-75 sounds great to me! Just make sure it's something that they would like even if it wasn't a BM gift. The idea of shopping like it's a birthday is a good one.

My FH is giving these to his groomsmen: https://www.etsy.com/listing/257174578/personalized-axe-and-multi-tool?ref=hp_rv

    they're all outdoorsy.

I'm thinking about giving books or bookends to my BMs, but I haven't decided yet, because I know 2 of my BMs will love it for sure, however my 3rd one doesn't read (at least not to my knowledge), the trick is what kind of a book since we all read different things. Which is why I'm thinking bookends.

I got my MOH a monogrammed necklace. It was very reasonably priced. It looks more expensive than it was and I think she'll really like it. She is the only one in my BP.
