How much time will you/did you take off from work for the wedding?

I want to limit time off from work but I feel like there is so much to do it might be less stressful to have an extra day or two off work.

How long did / will you take off work before the wedding in the leadup to it??

My situation is a little different. I am having a destination wedding and been saving my vacation days this (especially with WFH situation). I'm actually taking two weeks off for the weeding. 1 week before to fly to FL and get all the last minute items done. Wedding is on a Saturday and taking the following week off as well just to de-stress from all the planning.

Might take Thursday before off, but will definitely have that Friday before and then the week after off. We're leaving for our honeymoon the day after we get married. FH is thinking he might take off as early as Wednesday before (which would be good because he works a much higher stress job than I do).

My first big wedding was a Friday, I took off Tues-Thurs prior, and then ofc thru the weekend.

This wedding is on a Thursday but not as crazy, so probably just Wednesday + Weekend & Honeymoon

Our wedding is on a Saturday and I am taking off Thursday-Monday, then taking a week of vacation three weeks later (couldn't take off right after the wedding).

Our wedding is on a Sat, so I'm taking off starting the Wednesday before. We leave the following Tuesday for our honeymoon for a week. I'll go back to work the day after we return.

We did two days - Thursday and Friday for a Saturday wedding. The week of I kind of felt like I wanted more time but it ended up being enough. However I have a somewhat flexible schedule at work this time of year, so was able to do some minor wedding stuff while at work (like email back vendors who had questions). If I worked a job where I was absolutely unavailable 8+ hours a day, had a long commute, and had to manage all of that last minute communication stuff only when I was home, all that added up probably would have made the prep week felt more crammed and I would have needed an extra day off not to feel completely stressed out. We also did not have a planner or day of coordinator, but our venue is only about 25 minutes from our house so doing back and forth errands was doable. We had access to our venue Thursday through Sunday and stayed overnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

My wedding was on a Sunday, too! I also took off the Thursday & Friday before, and I took off Monday through Wednesday following, returning to work for the last 2 days that week. I seriously wish I took the full week after, but I was also trying to limit how much time off I took. We didn't have a honeymoon or anything right after, but we did get married in Vegas and got home late Monday night, so the next 2 days off were just like a regular weekend for us when we should have planned for a little more time to relax.

Our wedding is on a Saturday so taking Friday off. We are leaving for our honeymoon on Sunday, and will take the week. I will be taking the Monday off to recoup and back to work on Tuesday.
