How much time to give after rsvp deadline?

When do you need final numbers by?

Personally, I would wait until Tuesday or Wednesday and then start calling. Sometimes people drop their rsvp card in the mail on the deadline date and it takes a few days to arrive.

I wait threeish days before I start reaching out. That is the usual delay at my post office between post marked date and delivered date.

Rsvp deadline is June 18th. Venue doesn't need final numbers till a week before, but I can't wait till then because I need to make a seating chart, order favors based on numbers, and order escort cards.

I second waiting a couple days to reach out to guests because people really do assume the deadline is the day they need to drop the card in the mail. Then call the guests who didn't RSVP. I can't imagine it taking more than a few days to get in touch with the guests who didn't RSVP and get their responses. If someone was really that hard to get in touch with that I couldn't manage to get them on the phone right away, I would keep trying to reach them with various modes of communication up until the day my final numbers were due.

You're doing way better than me! I still have 58 people that haven't responded! I have tried to reach out to all the ones I personally invited and still haven't heard back from most of them. My parents invited quite a few that I asked them to reach out to as well. Ugh!
