How much time to eat dinner?

My venue said an hour and a half for a family style meal for 120 people. Ask you venue, they will be able to give you an idea how long it will take to serve your guests.

There are a lot of variables here -- how many people, buffet/family style/plated, how many courses, etc. I am sure that your venue can help with the timing. We allotted an hour for a plated three course (salad, pasta, entree) meal with 70 guests.

We are allowing for 90min give or take for a family style meal for around 90 guests…It might go over since we are debating squeezing another course in. We moved the wedding up an hour so the party can go a bit longer too!

I am giving about a hour and a half once everyone is seated for my buffet.

It's going to be about 100 people and buffet style. I'm having my DJ call up tables in groups
