How much time off work before the wedding?

Im requesting lots of unpaid time off for next year due to wedding activities. How many days before your wedding have you found that you need to get everything together? Mine is in San Diego, so it's a short drive from OC, but I think I would need time before to make sure I'm prepared.

This is helpful because I want to plan my PTO for next year since I don't get a lot of days. We wanted to get married during a break (I have 3 one week breaks during the year that don't require me to use my own PTO days) but the venue we wanted wasn't available, so we will do the honeymoon during a break (probably over Christmas) and I'll save some PTO for right around the wedding. I figured definitely Friday and Monday, probably Thursday too

I'll be gone from February 13th-25th, which is a little less than 2 weeks off. Because I only work a few days a week, that is only 6 days off for me, and 3 are before the wedding.

I'm taking PTO the whole week of the wedding, our honeymoon isn't until January so I was able to take the week no problem.

I'm planning on taking off at least Thursday and Friday. I may take off Wednesday as well, but Monday is a holiday so I'm not sure if its worth only going into work 1 day that week.

I am taking Friday. That is the only day I have planned. We have an 8 day honeymoon planned, so I will need 6 days just for that.

My last day of work is November 4th and I go back to work on November 30th. I had a lot of time saved up from the year so I took time off at once. I already had a week in November because I'm scheduled to be oot, but I won't return to work after that trip. I should enjoy it

I keep telling myself I'll only take two days but I know myself better than that and won't be productive the week of so I'll probably just take the whole week.

Our wedding is a Sunday, I am actually taking the whole week off beforehand because my family is coming early to spend time together (I'm from NY and the wedding is where I live now in California). Then we are going on our honeymoon right after for 8 days so in total, I'm taking 3 weeks off.

I'm definitely taking off the Thursday and Friday before but may also take off Wednesday so I have more to time to finish last minute things and relax.

My wedding was on a Saturday so we utilized the whole week where we could while I was working and then I took off Thursday and Friday before the wedding.

I'm taking a week 6 months before to do bridal shower, bachelorette, tastings and all my vendors follow ups since I'm planing from across the country. And then another week prior to the wedding to get over jet lag and be relaxed before the big day.

I took off the Wednesday before my wedding until the Wednesday after my wedding. It was the perfect amount of time off for me for what I needed to get accomplished.

I'm also trying to plan this. My parents are flying from Australia and probably arriving the weekend before (wedding is a Saturday). We'll fly to Denmark on the Thursday and I think I'll at least take the Wednesday off. We'll mini moon in Denmark for a few days after the wedding then come back and I also want to go to the Australian embassy to get things notarised to send off to start my name change. So there's probably about 8 days. Then my brother is getting married next year too and so we'll have to take a whole lot of time there too. Probably 10-15 days. I'll have to see if I can work remotely for a week, that would be ideal. But then we don't have enough days for a summer holiday which is a bummer, unless we only go to Australia for 2 weeks, but it's going to be my last trip home for ages because we're planning on starting trying for a baby in 2019, so I want it to be longer than just 2 weeks... Anyway I'm grateful that we have 24 days' holiday to play with (FH has 27). Could be much worse/impossible! Honeymoon/combined 30th presents to each other holiday is planned for 2019.

I'd like to take a couple of days off, but my wedding is the first day of spring break and I'm not sure how many days I can get approved leading into a vacation week. Probably should ask my boss haha
