How much monogram is too much?

Ashlyn, on November 7, 2019 at 10:41 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11
I commissioned my artist friend (who is flying in to attend) to make us a custom monogram. Because its a military wedding, we thought it would be cute to have our monogram be a “medal”. Art is expensive, and I want to make the most use of it. But what’s too much monogram?

So far we’ve used it for:
- on the invitations (so not actually visible the day of)
- on the seating chart
- on the table number signs

We are thinking maybe using it on the printed cocktail napkins? Too much? If it’s not too much, any other ideas? It used to be on the cake until they said the person misquoted us, so I told them not to do it anymore instead of paying like double...

I think you should use it as much as you like. But I do think putting it on cocktail napkins would just be an unnecessary expense! I'm not a big monogram fan, so personally I think you've used it quite a bit in great ways, but again, this is your wedding and you should use it as much as you want Smiley smile

I used ours on the sealing stickers for our invites, our welcome mirror, cake topper and another small sign. I'm sure it was somewhere else too but I cant remember anymore lol

Oh the welcome sign is a good idea! And the cake topper, but with 27 days I don’t think it’s possible lol

For how small our guest count is and how far under budget we are, the napkins won’y cost very much at all. But if you think we’ve made good use of it already, then maybe not Smiley smile

If you've got the budget for it and you love the monogram, you should definitely do it. I do think you've made good use of it already, but hey you only get married once (hopefully) right? Like I said monograms aren't really my thing, but if that's your style then go for it! Smiley smile

I think it going on napkins would be cool. I also agree using it as much as you want would make sense since it's your wedding and logo, in a sense.

I ordered mine on etsy and was trying to find the specifics of when I ordered but I dont think it took more than 2 weeks coming from Ukraine!

I LOVE monograms, and I don't think you can ever really have too much! So far, we have ours on the cocktail napkins and a large wooden wall hanging, and we got a custom monogram gobo for the dance floor through our DJ. Smiley smile
