*UPDATE* This is his FULL LIST of what he includes for 2,800 dollars

All photos will be placed on a Custom USB

This does not include any videography either.. so I will have to add in additional cost for that.

For my area that is not a lot at all. I know people who have paid upwards of 6k for their photography. It's all about what you and FH can afford and are comfortable with though. If $2,800 is a lot for you guys to spend and it's going out of budget maybe reconsider. It's a personal budget thing for everyone but I understand not wanting to skimp on a photographer

I think that sounds reasonable if the quality is there. Regardless, I would look into other photographers so you can get a sense of comparison prices vs. quality. Also, does this include a wedding album and/or parent albums? Some of these additions can be pricy and should factor into your decision.

But I agree with you, you should not skimp on photography. I am honestly paying quite a bit more than that, but I am in an expensive COL area and went for/budgeted for the photographer who was, IMO, the best.

Does that include prints of any of the photos? I've never heard of unlimited time. Does that mean you could have them from 8am getting ready to midnight? Ours is around $2500 for 8 hours I think and includes a package of printed photos.

I was looking at a photographer for $3,500, and two of my friends I spoke with said that that price was cheaper than what they paid at their weddings. I think that price is good for everything your getting with it. Unlimited time is awesome.

I'm paying 3800 (it also includes the album and engagement session). Price really depends on location though.

That is not at all expensive. Photography is not like salami; you don't buy it by the pound. You pay for talent, for artistic eye, for personality, professionalism as well as the photos. In my area, that's cheap.

The price sounds about right for a non big city. Will you have the rights to all the photos and how will the photos be delivered to you. I got everything you listed plus all photo rights, all photos on USB and a wedding album for $2K.

No that is what my packages run as well. I also include a standard leather album at that cost but my location may allow me to have a lower overhead than your photographer. If you are thrilled with their work, book them.

As a professional photographer, I would be happy to look through their portfolio for you to see if I see anything that would be a red flag, but it seems you have everything under control! Let me know if you have any other wedding photography questions, as I'm happy to help!

That doesn't seem like a lot. Our photographer was $1800 and we got:

    8 hours of photography

    2nd shooter

    Multiple locations (we had 2)

Editing on all the images & all images in a private digital album for download

    Print release

She's a newer photographer, but her work is amazing, which is probably why we got such a good deal. But I think spending $1000 more sounds like a deal to add engagement photos and unlimited time/locations.

That's not a lot at all. I've seen more expensive packages that include less.

Our list sounds similar and mine is $2100. The only difference is we'll be getting a customized guest book with 15 of my chosen shots from our engagement photos. You get what you pay for. Photographs lasts a lifetime.

    Questions I would ask:

Would you have to purchase prints through them or would you get full personal use/printing rights?

For my area (Northern Virginia/DC), this is a pretty reasonable price.

But I do suggest that you at least price shop for other photographers in the area.
