How much is the usual to spend on an Engagement photo shoot?

Ours is included in our wedding package. Our wedding package is 8 hours, $3,200 with 800-1,000 pictures and an engagement shoot for $3,200. When we've done photos before, it's been between $200-$400 for couples pictures and have included around 20-50 pictures.

Ours is included in the wedding package as well. $2,000 for 6 hours of wedding coverage. For the engagement shoot our photographer drove 2 hours out of town (no extra fee for that), and then met us in town the following week for another 1.5 hour session. I'd say that's above and beyond what one might normally expect. We got about 160 images from that shoot.

No, our photographer brings an assistant for setting up shots and helping her with equipment but she is our only photographer. She had the option to add one but we looked through her pictures when it was just her and she managed to get everything done more than fast enough. We are budgeting an additional $2,000 for videography.

We are paying 120 for an hour session with 20 photos.
1200 for 8 hrs on the wedding day and we will get a usb with the wedding photos.
I'm pretty sure she will do more than 20. We did spring mini session (30min) and she had advertised 10 photos but sent me about 25.

Ours is included in our wedding package and we are paying $4600. I’m so glad we did it this way because during our engagement shoot we were able to get comfortable with our photographer and how she works and will be so much less stressed on the day of the wedding!

Mine was also in the package. I don't think we would have done it without because the rates i got were costly. More benefits with having it in the package because we get to shoot with the photographer prior. My package is 8 hours, 2 photographers, engagement session, downloadable photos, about $2100 in CA. I purchased videography separately, but i did see many combined companies through my vendor search. I used wedding wire mostly. I see now instagram is a good use of finding photo/video as well.

Ours is also included in our package..10 hours of coverage w/ an asst. photographer, engagement shoot, online prints & a 10*12 photo for $3000. I believe his individual shoots for engavement photos are $250..they’re an hour.

We have more expensive photographers, but a la carte we paid $500 for about two hours, we got like 150 photos back, 35 were "their favorites" and probably the best photos but we also loved ones in the bigger gallery.

Our engagement shoot was part of our photo package so we didn't have to pay anything.

Our engagement pictures were $200 for an hour session. And since we are using the same photographer for our wedding pictures, it only costs us $1,500, and it normally costs $2,000. She takes about 1,000 pictures at our wedding, she says we will get about 500 pictures from our wedding.

My fiancé and I have a package that includes, photography and videography for 8 hours on the day of the wedding, drone footage, two engagement photo shoots, bridal party flowers, parent albums, thank you cards, a canvas portrait, a portrait to serve as the guest sign in and a 12x12 album for $3999 without tax. I reside in Long Island NY. Not sure where you are located but I found that most photographers will give a feee engagement shoot in a package and overall they come out cheaper that way. Good luck!!
