Disneydarling 9/10/20, on September 25, 2018 at 4:43 PM Posted in Planning 1 6
I am in the how much do things cost, portion of planning I was thinking of having a chocolate fountain with my dessert bar. I live in Colorado I got a quote for 950.00 it includes attendant, chocolate, fountain, dipping sticks and dippables. To me this is a lot and will go in the want category has anyone ever underestmated the cost of. Wedding vendor or item

That seems like a lot for a chocolate fountain. Could you set it up yourself? I think it would be a lot cheaper to buy a fountain and the chocolate & the dippers. I'd get other quotes too.

Honestly, I would skip a chocolate fountain. They’re very unsanitary. I can think of much better things to spend that money on!

    Hey Disneydarling 9/10/20!

I'm not sure where you are located, but from the research I did, I found that the price to rent them ranged from $399-$1,200 depending on how many dippables you want, how long you rent it for, supplies, etc.

How many guests are you planning to have at your wedding? Would you maybe consider buying a (or a couple - depending on how many guests you're expecting) chocolate fountain(s) from Amazon? They seem to be around $20-$60.

Are there any other chocolate fountain vendors near you for you to get quotes from?

There is a place called Temptation Chocolate! Check out their website. I’ve thought about using them!

While it may be expensive, having your own and forcing someone to deal with it is likely not a good idea either. They are very time consuming and keeping everything stocked is a pain. And don’t get me started on little kids and how unsanitary they are.

My FSIL told me with 10 minutes until dinner that I was in charge of keeping her food hot and stocked and doing everything with the chocolate fountain (melting chocolate, putting it in, keeping the dippables stocked) while they took pictures. Needless to say I was a *little* angry.
