I haven't seen a thread about pricing at all. But anyway I'm just curious as to what weddings cost? What's average? Being that me and hubby will be paying for our wedding COMPLETELY alone lol I'm just looking around trying to get the best for my buck....

For a traditional Saturday night wedding in the Baltimore area, it will cost you $$$. My wedding was $25,000 for 130 guests and we could have easily spent $30,000 if we hadn't went with budget options for things like transportation or invitations. The area has a big impact as does the guest list.

A "traditional" wedding/reception is about 25K (120-150ppl with a reception hall) ...but it depends on location too & there's so many great ways to have a beautiful wedding for less though!

My fiancée & I originally had a 10k budget but agreed we didn't want a backyard get together or state park. With the cheapest traditional venue & lots of sale shopping & diy our actual costs still doubled, not including rings.

I think the shocking part for me was photography costs.

Just depends what you want & what you can afford! Its one day & a serious struggle sometimes coming up with 26k in a year, even with 2 incomes! I have about $20 to get me through this week, but I think it'll be worth it! You only get ONE wedding Smiley smile

I know I'm well below average keeping it maxed at 10K. It does feel like a true budget wedding haha.
