How much do pocket fold invites cost to mail--generally?!?!?!?

Mrs. B for real :), on January 15, 2012 at 9:55 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Hi ladies,

So we ordered our invites from zazzle.com and I love them, but I'm stuck on wanting to get a pocket fold. I found the perfetto pocket fold on cardsandpockets.com that fits our invites perfectly. They are 5.25 x 5.25 on metallic paper. We also have an RSVP and accommodation insert. Does anyone know how much additional postage a pocket fold invite with 2 inserts would normally cost?

Here's a link to our invite bc WW doesn't let me upload images from the iPad

Thanks in advance for the help ladies Smiley smile

I can't view your link, but your invites sound just like ours and they cost 64 cents a piece (we were able to get wedding-themed stamps). On January 22nd the price is going up to 65 cents a piece for that size.

Would you be able to figure out how much it would weigh? 1oz, 2oz, etc...?

Ours were 81 cents each. They were 2 ounces, plus the closure made them too thick for the normal postal machines.

They can range from .64 - .81 for 2 - 3 oz first class; however, squares have a .22 surcharge on top of regular postage per USPS. and some postal rates are going up as of 1/22 so you will need to check with the post office.

I had 5x7 pocket invites and were $0.84/ea bc of weight and stiffness. they were too stiff to be machine cancelled, they had to be hand cancelled.

    square invites cost more! beware
