Dress was 1900, including custom length at avoid hemming and adding corset back. Fearing alterations because they discovered my thyroid isn't working and bam, dropping weight. Down almost 30 pounds so far

Dress $1300, alterations $525, but it has lace appliqués and sleeves so they all have to be removed and sewn back on.

$335 and that's for bringing in the dress a few sizes and shortening it. I got a sample sale dress so they had to fix some beading and buttons as well. No bustle but if I had added it would have been $500 which is the max my salon charges for alterations.

My dress was $1,400 and although I have not gone in for alterations, I was told alterations would not exceed $200, including bustle... they even wrote it on my receipt.

The length of sample was perfect with my heels on, so that may be why we're saving some money, because we won't need to pick up in length.

    Dress...350

    Alterations...150

    Veil...120

    Total...620

Alterations is hem of about 1 1/2", three point side bustle, sewing in belt, and making bow to snap on back.

I should add that this woman totally remade my dress. It was strapless and I wanted sleeves, bows were taken off, the dress itself was twice the size I needed it to be (yay samples!), she removed the train (outdoor wedding), and she took (not exaggerating) over a foot of material off of the hem. So she really did a lot of work for $200!
