How much are your bridesmaids going to match?

Are your bridesmaids wearing same, similar or different dresses? Same or different hairstyles? What about accessories and jewelry, will they be the same or different? Do you like the matching look or not.

I like the matching look the uniformity of it. I wanted the girls to all match dresses and jewelry, the only thing that I didn't care if they matched was hair style.

However my wedding is 5 months away and my bridesmaids are all wearing a different dress but around the same color. Long story short the bridesmaids were all headaches and caused me a lot of problems and drama about the dress. So since my wedding is in a backyard and is very laid back I just caved because nothing is going the way I want with the wedding anyways. So I told them to find a dress that was sage green and long.

My bridesmaids wore dresses by the same designer in the same color and fabric but in different styles. My girls all had different body types and one was pregnant, so I definitely wasn't going to put them all in the same dress. What I did was: I chose around 20-25 different styles for them to select by the designer, and all four girls found something they liked. I told them to wear any silver shoe they wanted. 2 girls bought new shoes for the occasion and the other 2 wore silver shoes they already owned. Looking back, asking them to wear silver shoes was completely unnecessary since the dresses were long. I told them to wear whatever jewelry they wanted as long as it wasn't some gigantic statement piece. I also paid for their hair and makeup and allowed them to select any style or look they wanted. Some girls chose updos and others chose partial updos. At the end of the day, I felt that all of the girls looked cohesive without being too matchy-matchy.

They will be wearing the same dress, but everything else can be unique. I don’t like mismatched bridesmaid dresses at all, but I don’t care if they are wearing the same shoes or not.

Mine were super unmatched! My MOH was in blush and my seven bridesmaids were in rose gold. Three purchased their dresses from one designer on Amazon and the other four from another designer on Etsy. They coordinated but were able to select dresses they felt comfortable in—I gave them the choice of around 15 dresses from these two designers and asked they each choose something different because I wanted them mismatched. One of the girls ended up buying a different dress from the Amazon designer than I had originally presented because she ordered the original dress in a smaller size in hopes of losing weight. I didn’t care even though it wasn’t one of my original choices—just wanted her to be happy and comfortable.

I didn’t dictate hair/jewelry/shoes at all and everyone looked beautiful, even if some made choices I wouldn’t have. They went together but weren’t twins. Exactly what I wanted!

I honestly left it up to them. I said as long as its the color I chose idc what kind of dress they wear or anything they want such as make up hair etc. They ended up having the same dress.

I originally wanted and planned on having my bridesmaid all wear the same dress. But changed my mind the more pictures I saw of all the same dress and it was too much.
So my bridesmaids chose their own dress, just all in plum and floor length chiffon from Azazie. Then I’m gifting them earrings to wear (their choice if they want to wear those or not) but I’m letting them choose their own hair, makeup, shoes, etc.
It’s nice to have a change of pace I think! More and more people are doing different looks within bridal parties!

My bridesmaids wore the same exact dress and my maid of honor wore a different dress, but in the same color and length. She was supposed to wear the same dress, but a week before the wedding she decided she wouldn't wear it because she hated how she looked in it after it was altered. It caused a ton of drama, but I ended up buying her a dress off the shelf from David's Bridal.

As for hair, make up, nails, jewelry and shoes, I let them decide. Only asked that they wear silver shoes. It could be any style they wanted.

All of mine will be in champagne/light gold. None of them are wearing the same dress, I'm going more for the mismatched look, as I don't like the matchy matchy look. They're also all different sizes heights and ages so it just makes sense. Shoes and hair will all be different too

I want their dresses to match. I haven't decided yet, but all bridesmaids' hair either up or down, but I'm not too bothered about the style. I will leave it up to them. Jewelry is completely up to them. As for shoes any heel or dressy flat will do.

I have 3 BMs and they're wearing 3 different shades of blue (for an ombre effect) in whatever dress they feel best wearing, as long as it's long! I think they'll all end up choosing different necklines too, which will look cool. Shoe choice is also 100% up to them, as long as they're nude. Hair/makeup and accessories are also 100% up to them, no restrictions - I love the mismatched look and want them to fell comfortable and like themselves!

I’m only having them match the dress color, through Azzazie. They can pick any style of dress they like, and they can pick out their own jewelry, shoes, hair, etc.

My bridesmaids have their own colors within the wedding color scheme. However they are in the same style family at the store and same family. Their hair is up to them and the accessories I'm giving them will match.

I'm having the same dresses for my adult bridesmaids, but maybe a slightly different dress for my junior bridesmaids. I think I'll have similar hairstyles. At least all of them wearing their hair up. Any silver or nude shoes will do.

I haven't even given any thought to their jewelry.

My bridesmaids will be wearing the exact same dress. I'm letting them choose all their own accessories including shoes. I would hate if I was a part of a wedding and I was told what kind of shoes to wear cuz u want to be comfortable. They can also wear their hair whatever way they prefer.

Originally planned to have half the girls in one color dress and half in another. I’m a perfectionist but far from a stylist so I was frustrated and constantly second guessing my color choices so against my original planning, they ended up in all the same color dress. I’m letting each one pick their own hair and makeup look. I’m getting them jewelry (earrings) to wear but I let them all pick their own style. For shoes, I let them all know to pick a particular color but let them pick the style. I’m giving them lots of freedom and choices because I would hate to be confined to a certain look.

Mine will all have the same color and length dress, but whatever style they want. Not only does this just make things easier for them, but people have different preferences and certain dresses flatter different body types. Plus, I'm using Azazie which offers a variety of price points... I didn't want to ask anyone to buy a $130 dress but if they want to, they can. But they also have the option to buy a $70 dress. I'll be asking them to wear the same color shoes (haven't decided yet on nude vs black) but beyond that, accessories, hair, etc can be whatever they want.

I'm in my friends wedding and she wants us to have everything identical. Same dress ($180...), same shoes, same jewelry (which she is giving us as our "gift,") but the earrings are dangle and I hate dangle earrings, they hurt my ears - I already told her I'll suck it up through pics and ceremony but will probably take them off for the reception. It's been kind of annoying honestly but it's her day and it's what she wants.
