How many hours for the photo booth?

Lexi, on April 9, 2018 at 9:42 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11

We're undecided, we have the options of 3,4,5, or 6 hours. How long did you rent yours for?

We have ours for 4 hours. It will open 15 minutes into cocktail hour and end 30 minutes before the last song.

Ours was open for 3 hours, which was the standard package they offered. The reception started at 7, and the booth was open from 8-11. It was recommended to me to not have the booth open until after the speeches and dinner were done, so it wouldn't be a distraction during that, which I very much agree with and highly recommend. 3 hours is really plenty of time; we had a big wedding and most people were able to get in the booth multiple times.

If your wedding reception is the standard 1-hour cocktails, 4-hour reception, there is absolutely no need for you to have it open for 5 or 6 hours.

Oh that's so smart not to have it open until after speeches and dinner. Our DJ doesn't offer one in his package, so we're going through a decor company that offers it. They gave us those options, our reception (dinner+ reception) will be 6 hours. I wasn't sure if we should start it at cocktail hour so people aren't extremely bored, or later. But your idea makes more sense. Thanks!

People won't be bored during cocktail hour as long as you have alcohol and yummy apps! I promise! They'll just want to get a drink, mingle, and start to loosen up a bit.

3 hours (7:30-10:30). Figured people wouldn't be able to use it during cocktail hour (its in a separate room) and then we will be eating dinner, so 7:30 start time worked perfectly for us. It also gives people time to get in party mode Smiley smile

I'm doing 2 hours. The first two hours for us we won't be the in reception room, then we have a seated dinner, then it will open.

We are doing 2 hours. The reception starts at 7, the photobooth opens at 8 and closes at 10, which is 30 minutes before the ending of the reception.

We did ours for 3 hours. It opened at 8 p.m. after the toasts, cake cutting and first dance and closed at the end of our reception at 11 p.m.
