Girl, the struggle is real! I think I tried on 40-some dresses. Sometimes you have to kiss a bunch of frogs until you find your prince! 😆 But when you find The One, it’s totally worth it!

I tried one on and it didn't work out but the 2nd dress did. however i did try on other dresses after getting the dress. i think because i still wanted to see if there was anything else i would have liked better even though i already had a dress

I didn't even count! Smiley laugh I tried on 4 at home through Avery Austin, then a bunch at the 2 bridal shops I went to. But when I found the one, it was game over! I'm thinking maybe 10-15 dresses total. The one I decided on was the first dress I saw at the second bridal shop. I immediately fell in love with it. I tried on the other dresses for the sake of it but my heart was already set on the one. I had appointments scheduled at 2 other shops later that week but I canceled them.

I tried on 3 dresses before I said yes to my dress. It was a process because you want to pick out the right dress for your big day.

Aww this sounds like such a lovely day! I really wish I would have put more thought into wedding shopping, and planned a sweet afternoon like this.

I had a very similar experience when I saw “The One”!
I had probably tried on least 40 dresses at 6 different shops over the previous 4 months already. But when I arrived to that last shop, they had pulled the dress I was interested in trying on and had it on a manikin at the top of the stairs, with the afternoon sunlight shining in on it…. It was like the heavens opened and the angels were singing LOL I fell in love with her at first sight 😍 But then I got a little anxious when I went into the dressing room, because I was terrified I wouldn’t like it on me. But as soon as I turned around and saw it in the mirror, I knew she was the one!

The dress i had was less than $30 so i figured maybe i could use it as a reception dress or not use it at all if i liked something a lot better.

It was really nice, one of my favourite memories of planning, actually, since it made things feel so real and in the middle of a pandemic, that has felt really important to me.

I'm sure you had loads of other moments just like mine though - like seeing the dress in the sun like it appeared from god or something sounds so special and reaffirming, haha!

It was an evening gown i found online and i read the reviews and everyone pretty much used it as a wedding dress because it was seriously just something you'd think was a wedding dress anyway. i didn't think much of it because as you know, it's kind of a risk buying anything online especially something like this but i figured hey i am fine with losing out on $30 if it doesn't work out haha that's kind of why i was ok with trying on more dresses after in case i ended up finding something better

I tried on about 10. I went in thinking I wanted something minimal and a-line but once you start trying them on you really start noticing what you like and dislike.

About 12-15, across 4 boutiques. One gown I tried on for pure indulgence – it was $20K – because a gf said years ago "when else will you have an opportunity to try on this much glam!" I went to all of my appointments alone, partially due to Covid, and also so I wouldn't be influenced by family and friends and risk regretting my decision.

There was only one gown I wanted to go back and try on again, and at that second appointment months later, it was on sale. I knew it was mine.
