How many days left till you say I-do?

We’ve got 196 days left till we can officially call each other Husband and Wife. I’ve been counting down ever since the proposal. What’s left on your to do list? I have to order invites, order dinner napkins, purchase wedding party gifts, a veil or headband (I can’t decide!), decide on my shoes...

I have to order invites, order dinner napkins, purchase wedding party gifts, a veil or headband (I can’t decide!), decide on my shoes (boots or keds), find jewelry, submit a song list to our DJ(this is my FHs task), and make a few signs. I think that’s it...

How much do I have left? Quite a bit and have 280 days left. My FH and I have put planning on hold right now because we are in pre-marital counseling right now. However, we have the venue for the reception and fortunately, the wedding will be held in the garden (so no need for a church), our Pastor is officiating, the cake is included, my FH's friend is the DJ, and I bought his ring. So as you can see there is still a lot to do.

I haven't picked a dress for myself or my bridesmaids, no engagement pics yet, no save the dates, no invites, and we really haven't met with our bridal party to discuss anything. However, we are done with counseling the first week of September and this is when it will be full steam ahead!

54! Dress has been dropped off for the bustle and I'm having cups sewn on. Final fitting on August 2nd. Hair and makeup trial on July 22nd. It's coming up quickly! I'm beyond ready. I'm excited...but I'm also kind of feeling like I just want it to be here so we can move on with our lives. I'm ready to be her wife already.

74 days and we’re just now going to a cake tasting on Monday. We only had 4 months total to plan and I keep getting overwhelmed! I didn’t even pick out my wedding ring until yesterday.

We’ve booked most vendors, just need our cake and I need to get dress alterations. I have so many unfinished bigger projects I’m worried about. A petal curtain, a photobooth, a cake backdrop...I wish I had a little more time!

4 months to plan, woo I can’t imagine. I know it can be done but I’m not sure I could accomplish such a task. Sounds like you have most things figured out already and just have a few DIY things left. Enjoy your cake tasting, I’m a desserts girl so those are always fun!

Not too much longer to go. Post pics of your hair and makeup trail when you have it done.

We didn’t do marital counseling since we will not be married by our church pastor but instead a family friend. How long does counseling last? Also you have plenty of time left for all your planning.

It’s stressful for sure. A family member is very sick and fiance really wants a wedding for our families so we’re doin’ this! I have a lot of help from family and friends, which honestly we’re both so blown away and humbled by the support. My fiance is also very hands on, this is a wonderful team effort. There is no way I could do this completely on my own.

Between all the vendors and phone calls, cake tasting is by far the most exciting one!

    Hey Cassie.

The counseling sessions depends on the couple. We are doing 4 with our Pastor and we've done 4 with an outside source (private therapist). A lot of people focus on the wedding but we're focusing on what's going to happen after everything is over. Because we are an older couple and have each been married before, we felt the need to make sure we're not carrying any baggage from the other relationship into our union. So it's best to clear the air and start with a fresh beginning.
