How long should your hair be for an updo?

A trained stylist can work with any length within reason ... personally too long is not helpful especial without layers and if the person has thick hair.

I could do that style with hair starting around collarbone or shoulder no issues personally but ask your stylist

I hate when people just grow and grow bc they want an updo it's usually no help unless they had a pixie cut

I took biotin for months before my wedding and no dice. I had my inspiration picture and my stylist recommended extensions. She dyed them for free to match my hair. I wish I didn't worry about growing my hair out in the first place!

I had a similar style done for a banquet I attended a few years back! My hair isn't long, a little past my shoulders, and my stylist managed to pull it off! Selfie for hair length reference. You should be fine as long as you keep a little length
