How long should vows be?

As long as you’re getting your point across, I don’t think you should have a minimum time limit. If anything, I would be concerned about them being too long.

Mine was like 2 to three minutes but I think I wrote a lot aha so I think a minute is fine

Mine were about 2 minutes. My husband's were probably closer to 3 or 4, but he didn't time himself before.

I’ve read in the past they should be 2 1/2 to 3 minutes and no more. I timed mine and they’re just under 3. Goodness knows what FH will come up with. Probably 30 seconds, he’s a man with few words.. lol

For guests, short & sweet is preferred! I think we said about 3-4 sentences each.

I’m afraid FH will do like 20 minutes. Lol. Real world problems.

However long you want. We were having a short ceremony so we kept ours between 45-60 seconds each.

This is why it's good for couples to check in with each other! I have the same worry! I'm going to talk with my fiance (who I know is already nervous as I am about writing vows) and we're going to agree on a time frame. The last thing I want is for one of us to have an hour long set of vows, and the other only has a few sentences.
