How long should the dance floor be “open”

How many hours usually should the dance floor be open for people to dance ? I only have a 5 hour wedding planned and I afraid that once people start to get excited and drunk lol and start to dance it will be time to leave. It’s from 4-9pm on a Sunday

I have some from Texas, philly , Canada , and Rhode Island. I also haven’t made accommodations because I don’t think they would book rooms and my sisters coming from philly and Canada will get an Airbnb with my mom. So I wasn’t going to include that in the invite or you think I should ?

Photo booths are fun! Are place is too small for one. I didn’t do accommodations. I told our guest just to do Airbnbs since it was a ton cheaper than a hotel downtown.

I might say the same thing and they’ll be able to book them earlier if they wanted where at a hotel they can’t until after July

    My timeline is similar.
Wedding at 4:30, cocktail hour from 5-6, dinner from 6-7, and then dancing/other shenanigans from 7-9:20ish. We have to end the event at 9:30, so I’m still fine tuning things. Especially because it will be dark so send off pictures seem silly. I’ll have to revisit the idea when I go back to the venue again. I figure between my DOC, DJ, and photographer, we should be able to come up with a plan.

I’m doing a sparkler send off! Because it will be dark when we leave

My venue doesn’t allow sparklers 😔 and they kinda make nervous anyway. My friend’s grandma got really close to her with the sparkler and I’m surprised she didn’t get hurt.
I thought about led lights or bubbles as other options but I don’t like any of those ideas either.
I think there’s lighting on the walkway in and out of the hall so maybe have us at the end of the walkway waving bye with everyone else on it?I’m not really into the send off since we will literally be walking across the property to our hotel room and my parents are also staying on property that night. I’ll have to see what FH wants to do. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I also was married on a Sunday and the wedding was from 4-9pm. I too worried about the time. My photographer was great and mapped out time for everything, which was very helpful. May see if yours could do something similar. It worked out perfectly and was enough time for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.
