How long should my veil be?

FutureMrsGSon, on December 2, 2017 at 2:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

So, I’m needing extra opinions about this. I tried on a veil with my dress at the bridal salon and it was hip length. Part of me wants something a little longer. Because of the shape of my dress, I’m just not sure. Any advice? Attaching picture in comments because my phone won’t let me add it on the post.

It should be however long you want it. If you want a long veil, get one, a short one, get one. There's no formula or once size for all when it comes to veils. It's all personal preference.

Depends on what you like and what you think looks best.

I decided on a cathedral veil with a mermaid dress, it would've looked fine with any veil length but I always dreamed of having a long veil.

Also if you're on a budget...longer veils usually means more money.

My dress is about that exact same shape and I chose a chapel length veil! I have long arms and hated the shorter veils on me, and with the dress being flowy, I thought the longer veil suit me. Its not too long, but provides the smallest train. Perfect for my outdoor wedding!

@FutureMrsC mine is outdoor too! I wasn’t crazy about the shorter veils either. Thanks!

Try on a few different styles with your gown. I did at my salon and they all looked different--whether they had tiers or not and the length. I found that the tiers cut me off at the arms.

I think longer. But definitely try on different longer ones. Which ever YOUR happy with!
