How Long Should i Wait After My rsvp Deadline?

Mandi, on March 3, 2020 at 11:58 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
How long after my RSVP deadline should I wait to start contacting people? My RSVP deadline was last Friday, a month before the wedding. And my headcount is due next Wednesday. I recieved about 12 responses last Friday & Saturday. But nothing Monday or today. Should I go ahead? Wait one more day? I'm kinda hoping by some miracle, that they'll just show up magically without chasing anyone down... but I know better.

I guess chasing down less than 20% of RSVPs isn't terrible. Just frustrating.

I'd go ahead and start today. I'd probably begin with text msgs or emails, and let them know if you don't hear from them by Friday you'll assume they are a no. That will still give you the weekend to make phone calls to those you think you need to follow up with one last time. Good luck!

I would follow up as soon as the date is passed. You need the numbers. We had over 100 people unaccounted for after the deadline.. Its annoying for sure. Our mothers took care of reaching out to family we hadn't heard from.

Agree! Start today so you get it done and get those answers sooner rather than later!

If you did it by mail, I’d give it at least today. I had so many that were clearly put in the mail ON my due date, but probably after post office hours , so it took a couple days still. I think my deadline was on a Wednesday, and the Monday following I had EIGHT in my mailbox. I was glad I delayed on reaching out, bc by the time I was ready to (I had decided to give it a full week), I only had ONE straggler left!

If all online, I’d go ahead and get started.

Ugh non-RSVPers are the bane of my existence! So many people fail to RSVP and it’s so incredibly frustrating.

You need to get numbers in, I would chase them stat!

I'm dealing with non rsvpers myself and tomorrow is our deadline ahead of our April 4th wedding. I would chase those people down now
