How long is your dress supposed to be?

So for my dress altered and picked it up. I was so excited about it I didn't even think of the length. These are professionals off knot that were recommended. Now looking back at picture it seems way too long. Any feedback is appreciated! Yes I am wearing my heals in this as well

That seems long to me. My seamstress hemmed my dress to just brushing the ground.

Im not a professional but that looks right to me! It's supposed to sweep the floor a little bit because if at any point it didn't touch the ground, it would look awkward. As long as you are not tripping on it and it's not bunching a ton, I would say you would rather have it a tiny bit too long than too short. Hope that helps!

I think that length is fine as long as you can walk comfortably. You'll definitely want to bustle it for the reception, though!

It looks a little long to me, too. Did you walk around in it? Were you stepping on your dress in order to take a step forward? It should just touch the ground at the edge so that when you walk, you won't risk stepping on your dress and tripping.

My seamstress said the longest longer should just barely skim the floor. Any longer and you'll be tripping

It does look a little long.. i agree, should sweep the floor.. all in all, it looks gorgeous on you!
