How long for highlights to grow out?

Summerbridejen, on May 29, 2014 at 12:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

WHY do I try things now lol..yes I am not getting marrie duntil next may but still…i put some highlights(light brown on darker brown hair) and she put them underneith mostly so theres no roots…but its noticiable..i like it,do I love it,no…I want my all brown for the wedding….I know i have time but she thinks highlights on the bottom break up the darkness…now in a year are all my ends going to be at the end and have to cut it off? I have long hair and she said i would not have to refresh until next year if i wanted to…just worried about light ends, dont want to cut to much.

I'm not sure I understand... But it takes as long as it takes for your hair to grow. You can always dye your hair over.

If you don't like it have a professional dye it back to your original hair-color, that way when it grows out you won't notice the roots.

I had highlights and now I have some peek a boo which I love but I have black hair so when I hate something I just go back to black and its done. As far as time it takes a really long time hair does not grow that fast, the only options you would have is to dye your hair brown for the wedding if you still have the highlights which I am sure you will have them.

You can always just dye your hair back to your natural color if the highlights don't grow out enough. They will also fade by next year so they may not even be noticeable anymore. Also depends on how fast your hair grows, having highlights won't make it grow any faster or longer.
