How Long for a Photobooth

Christine , on May 6, 2018 at 2:56 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16

I am planning a renting a photobooth and I am not sure how long I should rent it for. I was looking at this one company that does 2 hours for $500, 3 hours for $700, or 4 hours for $900. What is everyone's recommendations. I honestly feel comfortable financially with the 3 hours for $700 but I am not sure if three hours is going to be enough time. What does everyone else think?

I think 3 hours is enough time. We are keeping ours for about 6 but I doubt it will get used. Personally I tend to hit the photo booth after dinner so I’d put your 3 hours during that time.

We had ours for 3 hours, 8-11 p.m. and it was a good amount of time. Lots of people did it multiple times. Honestly the most use was the first 2 hours.

Three hours is exactly the time I rented mine for (I will have around 180 or guests).

I think that is plenty of time!

Three hours seems like a comfortable average time and price point. Happy planning!

How many people are attending and is your cocktail hour and reception in the same room? I found that people use the photo booth the most during cocktail hour and after dinner. For 153 people, we are doing 3 hours just after dinner.

I work for a photo booth company, and after only having done 3 events so far..people come in waves and there's lots of gaps. I think 3 hours is plenty of time for multiple shots if people want it. Definitely advertise the open-close time though so people don't rush up to find out it's already closed!!

We did it for 3 hours, just for the reception. 7-10PM. It was the perfect amount of time. It was packed for the first two hours and the 3rd hour wasn't too busy. People went in there multiple times.

Ours was 3 hours, that's the standard package offered by the company we used. It was plenty of time! We did 3 hours plus an idle hour, meaning they would come and set up before the reception started so as not to disturb the reception, but didn't actually open the booth for photos until after dinner was served. So the first hour, 7-8pm, it was set up but closed, and that's when all vendors were fed, then the booth was open from 8-11pm, when the reception ended.

I think 3 hours is enough, I'd do it after dinner when people start walking around/dancing/drinking.

We chose to do 3 hours mainly because we are doing a photo guest book and we wanted to give everyone a chance to get in and out.
