How long for a dress alteration?

Megan, on February 16, 2020 at 1:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
Hi brides! My dress first me almost perfectly but it’s a little big under the armpits, straps are long and a tad tight since I’ve gained about 5ish pounds from stress, overeating and work. My wedding is 6.20.2020 and I’m wondering how long I have to lose 5-10 pounds and when I should take my dress in for the alterations.

Thank you 💕✨How long for a dress alteration? 1

It's usually recommended to start alterations around 2 months out.

Alterations are fine but weight loss varies person to person. Would shop for a seamstress now.

Alterations should typically begin about 2 months before your wedding.

Hello there we are date twins! I'm taking my dress in this Saturday for my first fitting and I actually have 3 appointments already in the books. I'm getting bustle done, taking the waistline line in. I was told by the tailoring company that they book up fast because of summer weddings so I would definitely start looking for a place now 😊

Find a seamstress and go from there. I thought it was at LEAST 2 months out...my seamstress (I've gone to several times) said two weeks before our wedding, no matter the changes. To make myself feel better, I go in 4/26 for a wedding date of 6/6.
