How long does it take to alter a dress?

How long did it take for you? I haven’t gotten a dress but I will soon. I reallly love this dress I saw online in a YouTube video and website, very simple but cute! But I am 5,1 so I have a feeling it will be kinda long on me. So I would just want to alter the length, but I will be wearing 4inch heels, so first I’ll try the dress on but how long did your alterations take ?

I’m 4’11”, I got bustle, hem, cap sleeves, and bra inserts. It took about a month.

I'm 5'1. I got a bustle added, hem, back lowered and straps taken up. It took a month. My dress was also simple.

I would say around 3 weeks to a month. If it's only the hem, maybe even 2 weeks.

Alteration times will vary greatly. It depends in what you need done and how busy the shop is. I had an illusion neckline and back removed, and corser added, amd a bustle, and my dress was ready in two days. That is very uncommon, most take a few weeks.
