How long do dresses stay in production?

This weekend I found THE dress! Yay! It was my first venture out and I wasn't expecting to find it, but I did. It's almost twice what I was hoping to spend, so I couldn't order it on the spot since I wasn't prepared to pay half that day. The girls at the store had told me it was a new dress, but when I looked online it said it was from Fall 2012. I'm hoping I can order it by the end of next month, but I'm concerned the designer will discontinue it since it's almost 2 years old now.

Anyone experience this or know how long collections are usually in production for?

    If the store still has a sample of it, they won't be discontinuing it any time soon I would guess. I think you will be fine. Smiley smile

    My dress shop said my dress what a "new" dress from the designer too - but it's really from their Spring 2013 collection (so sort of new). I think you'll be okay - I don't think they'll discontinue it in that short amount of time. Plus it probably takes dresses longer to go from the runway to bridal salons so it may be a "new" dress they just got from the designer Smiley smile

    If the dress wasn't on the sale rack, I'm sure you'll be fine ordering it next month!

    If it is THE ONE, order it sooner than later though just to be sure!

    Thanks! That is all helpful!! I'll be saving my pennies to get it asap lol excitement mixed with stress lol as is most wedding planning :p

    My dress is came out in Spring 2011 and I bought it this May. Certain dresses stick around for a long time.
