How long did you date before you got engaged?

FH proposed on our 5th year anniversary and we will be married on our 8th

About 2 weeks under 2 years. I think he knew I wouldn't wait much longer.

We got engaged 2 1/2 years after we started dating. But we knew after 3 months we would get married. We moved in together at 4 months and then finished our house and got engaged the same month we moved in. We wanted the house done but we didn't want to wait Much longer! And we will be married on our 3 year mark to the day!

We got together 6/25/10, he moved in 1/2011, got engaged 2/14/11 wedding is 6/29/13!

Well, today is our official 2 year dating anniversary. And we got engaged on Christmas Eve. So almost a year and a half

We had known each other 3 weeks when we started dating...he proposed 2 weeks later...a month after I moved to NC but he had to stay in OH...we made it official to family and friends in Ohio at 9 months...a couple people in OH knew from the start and everyone I met in NC knew (there was no chance of word getting back to family up north)...he moved to NC just after our 1 year and we'll be married just after our 3 year...

Proposed after three and a half years; We are also having a 'long' engagement which will be just a few months shy of three years.

However, we have know each other for 13 years.

We dated for a year and a half before he popped the question.

Weve been best friends for nearly 5 years and together nearly 2. but we got engaged I'd say right before my birthday last year. so 10 1/2 months... even though we still don't have a fancy smacy ring I use my promise ring he gave me. =)

We will have been together 4 years and known eachother for 7 when we wed.

He proposed just shy of our 3 year. We'll have been together almost 5 years total when we finally tie the knot

We were dating for a year before we knew, 2 years before I got a promise ring, and 4 years before the proposal. He wanted to be really proud of the ring, so he asked if I would wait until he saved money on deployment. It will be about 5.5 years when we are married (assuming the navy does not make us move the date).
