How long did it take to get your engagement photos back?

Lexi, on September 12, 2018 at 6:50 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

We were told 1-2 weeks till we got them back and yesterday marked 2 weeks. I don't know if I should call or email him and ask him about the photos? Or should I wait till the end of this week? I don't want to come off annoying, but I'd like to see my photos.

How long did it take for yours?

When it comes to your money and what was promised, who cares if you come off as annoying? It is a business so don't be afraid to speak up for yourself. If they were promised to be ready within 1-2 weeks and 2 weeks have passed then by all means call or email him.

We got ours 2 weeks and a half after. She had told us it would take 4 weeks but we got ours earlier. Wait till the end of the week and if you don’t get them, email them.

We were told 1 week & got them back in 3 days. Your photographer promised you a date, there is nothing wrong w/ reaching out to him for an update. I’d reference the promised by date. The delay could just be due to the fact that we’re in the middle of wedding season.

You can definitely reach out for an ETA if the time frame has passed. There's nothing wrong with a polite email asking about something that you were told would be done.

Hey Lexi!!! An reminding email or call hasn't hurt anyone that I know of. It's completely warranted if the time frame they gave you has expired.

However, and I need to remind myself of this occasionally, it's still sort of the busy wedding season, so if your photographer is a wedding photographer, they might have a lot of things on their plate. If they gave you a time frame and it's passed, then it's fine to email/call them with a gentle reminder because you're their client, but also be kind. Smiley smile

Ours took a little over a month and we got around 100 pictures. But our contract said up to 6 weeks.
