How high were/are your wedding shoes?

I’m trying to decide if it’s better to wear a low heel that’ll for sure be comfortable, or go with a higher heel that might not last more than a few hours. I like both options, but I have to admit I like the higher heel better. Just not sure if I want to worry about having a 2nd pair of flats to...

How often did people really see your shoes during the wedding? Opinions please!

So I had originally purchased a lower 2.5inch heels and was set on wearing them all night for comfort reasons. And then when it was time for alterations, I ended up buying a 4 inch heel and altered my dress around that. The dress just looked better when I was taller. I decided I wanted all my photos to be taken while I'm a little taller (therefore leaning me out a little for pics 😂) and after the first dance and the formalities, I'll change into the shorter heels for the dancing!

I wore Kate Spade Keds because to me, comfort was priority. No one sees your shoes anyway. I was so glad I wore flats and was comfortable the entire night.

I'm not a fan of high heels shoes I prefer flat shoes which more convenient and comfortable.

My wedding heels are 10cm/4 inches. In a way it's silly since no one will see them because of the dress, but I bought them for sentimental reasons and I have a flat backup pair. Like some of the other posters have said, I do prefer the look of them, and I also think my dress will look better if I'm a bit taller.

I'm also wondering if I can boost the skirt out a bit to make it less likely to drag on the floor with the flats, by adding an extra crinoline underneath. I plan on asking my alterations lady next week!
