How far is too far for a venue?

I found a venue that FH & I both love & it's very affordable & what we're looking for. However, it's an 1 1/2 away for all our guests, I'm feeling like it's not likely anyone would want to make that drive? I also was originally wanting an evening wedding, but I imagine if we chose this place with it...

I also was originally wanting an evening wedding, but I imagine if we chose this place with it being over an hour drive away, we would need to move the time up so people aren't making a long drive at night which isn't too bad a compromise at all.

It would be fine for me as well. I am attending a Friday wedding next month and it is a 2-1/2 hour drive without traffic.

ETA: Can you let us know which venue you end up choosing? I am excited to see what you end up with (plus I am nosy) lol

We only have 10 out of 115 guest that are local so the drive will range from 2 hours to 10 hours for out guests. We didn't even choose a venue in our city to make it better for them. It would have been a longer drive for our family if we did and this is for immediate family as well.

50% of my guests are 2-3 hrs away and the rest are 30-15 minutes, 1 hr really isn't bad just don't do a Friday and maybe do like an earlier ceremony not like 7PM or something

My venue is 7 hours away lol .... in all seriousness, I've driven this far for a wedding. Most people (even though it wasn't a DW) just got a hotel nearby if they didn't want to drive home.
