How far in advance was photographer, florist designer, and cake booked?

Don't rely on their vendor list, and if you DO, ask if it's pay to play or if they genuinely like the vendors.

Start looking at the vendor tab here and find other people. By now, you should have a photographer and a florist booked, cake a little later.

What venue did you chose? (I'm in florida, so just nosey!)

I booked my photog 13 months before the wedding (I wanted a really good one so wanted to make sure I had my options open) Not planning on booking cake or florist until this summer.

I already have my florist, Dj and bakery booked for my 2018 wedding.

The good vendors get booked early so I would try to find some quickly.

Do you have to use their preferred vendors? Check your contact. If not you can find some great vendors right in WW.

Photographer was booked over a year ago. As well as flowers. We just ordered the cake a few weeks ago for our may wedding. We also booked the DJ last year .

I can only use the vendors they are partners with.

Yuck. I hate when venues have mandated vendors. If you have to use their list, keep bugging them. Call and follow up. Go there in person and follow up. They don't care if you get who you want; you have to take the lead.

If you can only use their vendors you need to get on her ass about sending it to you. You're sure the vendor list isn't on the venue website or anything?

Call her and stay on the phone until you get the email. Or maybe not the second part, but definitely call and put your foot down. That is really inconsiderate of them, taking so long, or she might have forgotten. Photographers easily get booked a year in advance, so I'd be most worried about that.

That is always a red flag to me with the exception of caterers, who can do some major damage.

Get on the phone with her and demand it. If you don't get it instantly,call her boss. That's ridiculous.

I booked those things about a month after locking in the venue, so about 11 months out.

If they require you to use these vendors, she should have given you that list as soon as you signed a contract and paid a deposit with them.

I booked a photographer 10-11 months before my date. Booked florist & cake 6 months out from my date.

You need to get a move on before everyone gets booked. Harass your venue until you get that list.

Yeah, that's definitely a problem. I am getting married a couple of weeks after you and I have had my photographer booked for a little over a year. At this point I would be very, very worried about being stuck with the dregs of the profession that nobody else wanted to hire.

Once you get a photographer sorted out, probably tackle floral next. I don't have a florist booked yet, but my decor is largely non-floral so I'm not too concerned about my own circumstance. However, if you want centerpieces and you have a specific vision then you need to get on that.

I'd say you have a bit of breathing room before you have to have cake locked in. Unless you want something lavish that part doesn't take a ton of pre-planning.

I I booked mine 15 months in advance. I feel like I was a little ahead of my game, but its best to have those things ironed out as they can effect your date.
