How far in advance do I have a bridal shower

It's usually 2-3 months beforehand.

The ones I've been to were about 2 months before... Mine is 3 weeks before. Which is too soon for me because I still have alot to do for the wedding... but Im making it work.

Generally speaking, two months to two weeks before the wedding.

The reality is that you have to be flexible for what works for the host, the bride and the guests.

If the bride lives away from her hometown and family is hosting, they may want to time the shower for a weekend when she will be in town for another reason, so she doesn't have to schedule another trip.

If the bride is a student, you want to stay away from mid-terms of finals.

My FMIL hosted one for me around the one-year mark of us being engaged to celebrate that, and my mom/bridesmaids hosted one three months from our wedding date. I think it's more about what works for everyone's schedules!

It's solely up to you. We were completely finished with all the planning in August. We got married November 26th. My first shower was October 15 which was given by my office. The second one was on Halloween hosted by my bridesmatrons. The third and final one (couples) was November 5 hosted by my family.

My mum had my shower on May 6th for a June 24th wedding.

Doesn't really matter. I went to an October shower for a march wedding because they were scared of bad weather/the holidays. Typically the ones I've been to are around the 2-3 month mark.

My shower is June 24th but my wedding is September. My bridesmaids are putting together the shower and the date works for them since some are out town/state and they're throwing me a bachelorette party in August. I told them it was fine with me.

They are doing mine 3 months ahead because the wedding is three weeks after Christmas and they want to avoid holiday issues.

My shower is Aug. 12 about 2 months before my wedding.

Mine is about 6 weeks before the wedding.

Mine will be about 2 1/2 months beforehand!

Mine was exactly 3 months before my wedding. I appreciated the extra time to put away all of our gifts!
