Hey ladies (and gents!), I am wondering for those of you who have had your wedding postponned d/t to the ongoing pandemic how far out are your rescheduled dates?

I plan on getting married in october of 2023, and my family thinks I"m crazy for wanting to book my venue sooner rather than later. My guess is that 2020 fall weddings may have backed up and are now 2021 or 2022 fall weddings. Does it make me crazy to book my venue so far out?

And Yes I am hoping that by 2023 everything is cleared up and I can have mask free wedding

My cousin just booked her December 2023 date! It’s not too soon at all - there are so many people who planned 2020 weddings and had to postpone to 2021 - and with Covid still being such an issue, many postponements to 2021 are now being pushed to 2022! These dates are all going to fill up quickly, and there may be many couples opting to go for 2023 to minimize Covid complications. So please, go right ahead and book your wedding date instead of risking getting a date you’re not crazy about. It’s helpful to add too that while this might not be the case for everyone, my cousin got a great rate for booking so early amid all the postponements and cancellations 😊

That's a relief that all of your vendors were able to accommodate! Best of both worlds - getting your date in 2022 and keeping all your same vendors. I'm glad everything worked out for you!

Nope, I do not think it's crazy to book 2023. I'm scheduled for August 2021 and just reached out to my venue about having a backup date incase COVID isn't better then, a lot of Summer 2022 dates are already taken. So to ensure you get the date you want I would book.

In case anyone cares I went to look at the venue I love today, and they are completely booked for 2022, and already have a few fall 2023 weddings booked. So I'm glad I didn't wait!

Engaged August 2019. Originally booked June 2020, then postponed to December 2020, now December 2021. We have been legally married for almost a year though.

Actually just a few 4 months. At least not 10 years ya know hahaha you know when people are truly in love they commit to one another without having to double guess themselves about who they are with let alone for 10 YEARS 🤡 if you don’t want to even commit to your future poor husbands last name then I guess you’re better off alone sweetheart LOL
