How early is too early to start planning?

We've been engaged since November and we aren't getting married until August 2018. I'm a planner and once I think about or start something I want to complete it...so I'm having a hard time with the wedding planning because I feel like I'm doing everything too far in advance. So how early is too...

We've been engaged since November and we aren't getting married until August 2018. I'm a planner and once I think about or start something I want to complete it...so I'm having a hard time with the wedding planning because I feel like I'm doing everything too far in advance. So how early is too early to do stuff? For example, we already bought and have started distributing our save the dates (we got them on sale so we ended up getting them really early but now since we have them we don't want to wait to send them out, but I am afraid people might lose them), our wedding website is done, and we created our registry (so we could put it on the website). Is it too early? Should we chill out a little bit?

I got engaged last week and I've already picked out venue, photographer and music. What's too early? As long as the vendors are willing to accept bookings and you know what you want, I say nab em before someone else does.
