How early is too early to say "Yes to the Dress?"

I pinned my dress on Pinterest in 2014. I ended up buying and wearing that same dress 3 years later.

The best advice I got was to stop looking at other dresses and to just relax!! If you continue to look at yours cosntantly youll pick it apart and if you continue to look at other dresses you will get dress regret!

Also what @Kate said about dresses taking some time to come in! You should be fine, but don't look at other dresses!

I picked out my dress in March of this year, so 15 months early. I sometimes have this anxiety, but I mostly don't even think about the dress. Don't look at any other dress pictures and don't look at yourself in the dress. Focus on other parts of your wedding or take a break from wedding planning totally. From what I've heard and read, the people who have dress regret are the ones who weren't totally in love in the first place and the ones who continually look at dresses and analyze if their dress is the 'perfect' one.

I bought mine 14 months ahead with no regrets! Still love it!

Go for it! Just don't keep shopping/pinning afterwards!

I picked my dress 10 months before the wedding and watched the two-minute video of me in the dress (that my dad took) over and over again (because it made me happy) until I went in for my first fitting a month before my wedding. If you love your dress now, I don't think you will have dress regret.

I don't think it is too early. Like PP said, it could take months to have it in and you might want alteration which can take weeks itself. You might also not find the dress you want the first time shopping and will need more time to look

I picked out my dress this weekend and am getting married in September 2018. I've stopped looking at other dress pictures and shopping around for them, because I love my dress and don't want to not love it in a year!

Start looking now. Some dresses may take 6 months to come in, and if you wait too long, you'll be crunched for time if you need alterations. I bought mine in March and my wedding in January. I got it in April, and they told me it would arrive in July. It really varies, but I wouldn't wait.

I'm planning to start looking in September (at the one year mark for me). I think this is the right time for you to get your dress. Try not to look at other dresses and you should be good. I would also clear our your pintrest if you have dresses. I did that with venues after we booked ours.

I am going shopping on August 6th about 15 months before my wedding.

I got mine a year and a half before my wedding, because I found a dress I loved on Pinterest, and found the store that carried it. Then ordered it because they told me the dresses get discontinued soon! I am so happy with my purchase <3 Just see what you like and do not continue to go shopping after you find one you love. that is how dress regret happens!
