How early is too early to book vendors

I am getting married in June of next year but am wondering if I am booking vendors too early. When I booked my photographer she was like I was booking earlier than most people do. When I booked the venue, they said the same thing. I wanted to book the DJ next, but now I am wondering if I need to wait a while before I book a dj too. I know I can try to follow the checklist wedding wire and many other places give, but does that checklist apply very good if you are getting married in what is said to be one of the popular months to get married?

I don't think it's too early! We are booking our venue for next May and already have some limited options as a lot of vendors book over a year in advance. We originally det a date for this October but 6 months was not enough time to find what we needed.
I'd say keep going if you have the time! Better to be a little unnecessarily early than too late.

I always say the sooner the better! If you wait until Prime Time you may miss out of vendors because they’re already booked. My photographer said the same thing to me and within two months he had every single weekend the month before and month after filled up!

My wedding is september 2019 and we already booked our venue. We're still looking at vendors for everything else, but once we choose we're booking asap.

I was feeling this way also! We are getting married May 2019 and already booked our venue and photographer. I was starting to feel like I was doing it all early but I don’t want everything to be booked up!

No i dont think its too early. We booked 14 months out to make sure we werent rushing or waiting til the last minute. Once vendors are booked you are able to focus on all the other things as well and also make payments on things little by little.

We booked our venue 26 month out and since then we have booked all of our bigger vendors. We are getting married next September. I say the earlier the better!!

I’m only having a 10 month engagement and found that in my area everything was booked more than a year out for Sept-Nov dates because fall is a beautiful time in VA. I had no problem booking for mid-June. I don’t think it’s too early to book the big things! My friend getting married July 2019 has had her venue, DJ, and florist booked since this past winter.

I booked all my vendors in summer 2017 for my wedding coming up in September. It was a huge stress reliever to get it all done early, and everyone I talked to said it was good I was doing it early as dates fill up fast.
